Love in Action

Heart-shaped rock in sand

Love in Action explores what happens when spiritual and contemplative practice meets ordinary life — including suffering, resistance, forgiveness, ethical discernment, relationship, and shared humanity.

Here, love is not only a feeling. It is something enacted through relationship, attention, practice, responsibility, and the ways we meet one another.

A continuing practice

Some of what has made this work possible has grown through spiritual practice, relationship, and community.

John Records has been a mentor to me for many years. His work, and the Love in Action sangha he founded, have given me a place to explore contemplative practice, spiritual inquiry, relationship, and community in a lived and personal way.

This work has also become part of how I understand support, discernment, responsibility, and what it means to stay in relationship when life is difficult or uncertain.

Love in Action is one part of the larger inquiry that runs through Larkin Bridging. It has influenced how I think about healing, relationship, systems, and the conditions that allow something new to become possible.

This space will gather reflections, practices, conversations, and, over time, possible workshops or other offerings.

Some material may point toward John’s work and the Love in Action community; some will be my own reflections and explorations and sharing of resources.
